The idea

Der flexible Greifer stellt eine Weiterentwicklung des BionicTripod 2.0 aus dem Jahr 2010 dar.

The objective

Der vertikal stehende BionicTripod 3.0 eignet sich für beschwerliche Arbeiten über Kopf.

Technical data

  • X-axis deflection: 100 cm
  • Y-axis deflection: 100 cm
  • Z-axis deflection: 30 cm
  • Material: spring steel rods
  • Drives: 2 electric linear axes, 2 pneumatic standard cylinders
  • Handling weight: max. 400 g
  • Rotary unit: swivel module

Further development

In the BionicTripod 3.0, the drive and handling technology are completely decoupled so that it can grip securely and in a form-fitting manner overhead, even in a dusty or dirtied environment. Thanks to its dynamics, flexibility and yielding ability, this system with maximum energy efficiency is ideally suited for tasks involving human-machine interaction.

Structure

The working and drive levels are spatially separated by a work surface: the drive unit with the electric linear axes and standard pneumatic cylinders is mounted in the protected lower area, while the controllable rod pyramid is positioned vertically on the work surface.

Handling

A stiffening element in the first third, adjacent to the rotating and gripping unit, gives the rod pyramid additional stability. This prevents the entire system from swinging open during fast movements or under high loads. The swivelling module is attached to the end of the mounting plate; the radial gripper is fitted with two adaptive gripper fingers on each jaw.
