The idea

This intuitively controllable industrial robot that does not require a protective space demonstrates new perspectives for human-robot collaboration.

The objective

With the collaborative robot, humans can be relieved of monotonous and tiring tasks in production. By means of pneumatics, the cobot acts sensitively and compliantly.

Further development

As a concept study, the pneumatic cobot is a further development of the BionicCobot presented in 2017. It enables the strict separation of the working environments of humans and machines to be eliminated. Its pneumatic drive and adaptation greatly facilitate assembly and handling tasks.

Operating principle

The specially developed software tool Festo Robotic Suite makes commissioning and programming quick, easy and intuitive.
